25mw power plantOrmazabal has supplied CPG.0 MV switchgear to HIMOINSA, one of the world's largest genset manufacturers, for the construction of a power plant in Luanda, Angola.
With a population of nearly 7 million inhabitants, located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, Luanda is the capital and largest city of Angola.
According to the government's energy generation plan, which is aimed at providing new infrastructure to the peripheral areas, the Angolan Ministry of Energy and Water (MINEA) has awarded HIMOINSA, the construction of the power plant that will supply electricity to the general grid. The power plant will also be supplying Zango IV and the pumping station in Cassaque, at the foot of the river Kwanza.
Thanks to Ormazabal's CPG.0 single busbar gas insulated switchgear, HIMOINSA's genset solutions will be ready to provide the highest level of insulation, and will contribute to generate 25MW PRP and deliver 20MW of continuous power, with 15kV of rated voltage at 50 Hz of rated frequency.
With this collaboration Ormazabal and HIMOINSA strength their relationship, and communicate to Angolan government their capability to collaborate with them on the development of the country.
