We have been in the United States for already 10 years!
Our US subsidiary was founded on October 4, 2010 following the installation of the Red Hills wind farm in Oklahoma in 2009.
In 2013, the first substation with Ormazabal GIS cubicles was opened in Rochester, NY, for Avangrid Networks. This was the start of a prestigious project to upgrade the electrical utility's Medium Voltage network in the states of New York and Maine with the technological leap to GIS cubicles in the cpg family. Nowadays, Ormazabal is Avangrid's leading supplier of this technology with 15 substations installed and another 15 in progress for deliveries up to 2023.
In 2015, Ormazabal was part of the historic project for the first offshore wind farm in the United States, Block Island (30 MW), with General Electric turbines housing our cgmcosmos and cpg cubicles.
Ten years after our foundation, we continue to increase our presence in the country with more than 15,000 devices installed and a team committed to the DNA that has marked Ormazabal's history since its inception.
