  • Ismail Ertug
    Member of the European Parliament
  • Christopher Burghardt
    ChargeUp Europe
  • Alexander Junge

    BP Europe SE
This digital & public high-level discussion provides a perfect opportunity to facilitate in-depth discussions on strategic policy issues with regards to high-power charging infrastructure and investment needs.
The e-mobility revolution is at full speed and it requires adequate charge to become mainstream. Technology evolution has allowed us to charge electric vehicles very fast but not many of the chargers are able to provide high power. In early 2020, less than 25,000 of Europe charging stations are considered fast. Billions of investment in ultra-fast charging points is needed to get where we need to be. Developing a smart network with adequate technology is key to empower businesses and customers alike.
Switching to electric requires a success story and so far fast charging hubs are providing the needed impetus. However, there is a need to accelerate the deployment with the current prospects for massive influx of vehicles.
Ormazabal and Eurelectric would like to engage with you and discuss on how best to support the deployment of ultra-fast charging infrastructure, from an economic and network planning perspectives.
