We join the Target Gender Equality Accelerator Programme by the UN Global Compact

This initiative supports companies in implementing concrete actions to promote gender equality and women’s leadership.

At Ormazabal, we are taking a step forward in our commitment to gender equality by joining the Target Gender Equality Accelerator Programme, promoted by the UN Global Compact. This programme leverages the influential role of companies in society as a catalyst for advancing both gender equality and women’s leadership.

Target Gender Equality provides a practical methodology that includes an initial performance assessment, capacity-building workshops, peer learning spaces, and multi-stakeholder dialogues at both national and international levels. Several of our colleagues have participated in these training sessions, which equip us with tools to implement these commitments within our organisation.

This marks a new milestone in our strong commitment to gender equality, embedded in our ESG strategy.

About Target Gender Equality

This UN programme is supported by over 690 organisations worldwide and more than 40 companies in Spain, involving 1,300 participants from 72 countries. It is backed by a global coalition that includes UN agencies such as UN Women and the International Labour Organization (ILO), as well as other expert organisations and individuals who contribute their knowledge and experience.

In Spain, the Women’s Institute and the Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations (CEOE) have been part of this coalition for the fifth consecutive year and have played a key role in the programme’s development.
