ACAM – Magnetic Field Shielding

Uniblok Prefabricated is leading the ACAM project, in collaboration with Ormazabal Corporate Technology and the Institute of Ceramics and Glass (CSIC).
The project is part of the “INNPACTO 2010” program of the Ministry of Science and Innovation and will be developed during 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Objectives:

The main objective of the “Magnetic Field Shielding (ACAM)” project is to develop a transformer station shielded against electromagnetic fields derived from industrial frequency currents (50 Hz) so that its external impact is minimal or non-existent.

To achieve this objective, the following partial objectives are planned:

  • Obtaining paints/coatings with particle dispersion submicron and nanometric with high magnetic permeability that shields the electromagnetic fields generated inside the transformation center.
  • Obtaining a methodology for finite element analysis of the electromagnetic fields generated inside a transformation center, including the presence of thin layers (paint / coating) that allows, from designing transformation centers with minimal or zero electromagnetic emissivity.

Project financed by:

ACAM with file number PT-310000-2010-012 is a project co-financed by the “INNPACTO- 2010” program of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and the EUROPEAN UNION through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
