The R&D project carried out by ORMAZABAL entitled “Architecture of services for technology “Renewable energy and storage for public direct current networks” has been co-financed by the Basque Government and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund 2021-2027 (ERDF).

ASTRA-CC is a project that aims to research the technologies and components necessary for the development of an electrical grid architecture that facilitates storage and accelerates the integration of applications and services associated with renewable energy systems in public direct current networks.

This is a multi-year strategic industrial research collaboration project (2023-2025) in which the following entities and/or agents of the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network participate: I-DE REDES ELECTRICAS INTELLIGENTES, S.A. (leader), ORMAZABAL Y COMPAÑÍA, S.L., MERYTRONIC, S.L., CEGASA ENERGÍA, S.L.U., ZIGOR CORPORACIÓN, S.A., BASQUEVOLT, S.A., University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, IKERLAN S.C.L., Tecnalia Research and Innovation Foundation, Cooperative Research Center in Alternative Energies Cic Energigune Foundation.
