Green mobility, Success stories
The Hanover-based energy service provider Enercity has launched a total of ten charging points at a restaurant conveniently located between the A2 and B6 motorways, including four DC fast charging stations with a maximum charging capacity of 350 kW. Here, drivers can recharge their electric cars in just a few minutes. Previously, there was no grid power at the facility, so Enercity turned to Ormazabal to implement the project.
«We greatly appreciate Ormazabal’s reliability, speed and flexibility, for example, the way they handled the special requirements of the project. This applies particularly to the center’s technical team, but also to design aspects that were important to our project partner, Finca Bar Celona,” says Jan Trense, Services Division Manager at Enercity. width=”1043″> MV/LV transformation center Product characteristics: Compact concrete center (2.4 x 2.6 m) Technical data: 12 kV – 630 A – 20 kA 800 kVA Scope of supply: ga 2k1ts MV system Enercity 800 kVA transformer specific for DC chargers BT panel with open frame circuit breakers Ormazabal solution and challenge: A compact RMU ga 2k1ts 630 A unit was installed in the center for the distribution of medium voltage. The extremely compact design of the system also means that the building can be scaled down accordingly, with the concrete hub measuring just 2.4 x 2.6 meters. Furthermore, the low-voltage switchboard has already been integrated into the unit. Ormazabal also ensured that the testing of the hub building and switchgear complied with EN 62271-202. Ormazabal developed a concept for the client’s specific use and designed the building for the sectionalizing hub. One element that required special consideration was the transformer required for these installations, which had to be designed to handle this high load capacity. In collaboration with Ormazabal’s international business units, the local sales department in Germany was able to provide a custom-made 800 kVA electromobility transformer for this project. Key customer benefits: Customized product International expertise Ready-to-connect solutions from a single source
