INTREPID – Innovative on-load Tap changer for Renewable Energy Prosumers Integration and Deployment

The INTREPID project is a project led by Ormazabal within the framework of the Basque Government’s “HAZITEK” program. It will be developed during the years 2017 and 2018.

Objectives:

The objective of the project will be the development of an On-load Tap Changer for medium voltage (MV) networks of up to 36 kV and transformer powers between 250 kVA and 8000 kVA, which allows automatic voltage regulation, facilitating the integration of renewable energies and electric vehicles without building additional electrical infrastructure.
