mGRIDSTORAGE – Research and development of an advanced microgrid model with electrical energy storage for distribution networks

The mGRIDSTORAGE project is led by Iberdrola and driven by the Basque Country Energy Cluster, ENERGIBASQUE. Ormazabal is participating in it, along with leading companies in the Basque energy sector. The project is part of the Basque Government’s “HAZITEK” program and will be carried out during 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Objectives:

The general objective of the project is to research and develop technologies that make up an advanced microgrid connected to the distribution grid, from storage technologies to control and management technologies, in order to generate an economically competitive and interoperable microgrid concept.
