MODITRANS - Transformer Modeling and Diagnostics

The following participate in the project: Ormazabal Cotradis Transformadores (Proposal Coordinator), Center for Technical Studies and Research, Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa, School of Engineering of the University of Navarra.

Goals:

1. New distribution transformer designs for public/private distribution and photovoltaic applications.
2. New sensors that enable online determination of the quality of dielectric oil.
3. New system designs that minimize the transformer connection current, preventing voltage dips during connection in weak networks that could cause protection devices to trip.
4. Development of a methodology for determining the health index of transformers.
