MONICA – Advanced Monitoring and Control of MV and LV distribution networks

Ormazabalis participating in the MONICA project, as part of the CDTI’s “FEDER INNTERCONECTA 2015” program.

The project, led by ENDESA Distribución, is being developed from 2015 to 2017. AYESA, IGELECTUS and AICIA, from the University of Seville, are also participating in it.

The project is part of the Smartgrids or Intelligent Networks concept, in which Ormazabal is a leader in offering solutions for the intelligent remote management of grid assets.

Objectives:

The main objective of the project is to develop a suite of monitoring and diagnostic tools for distribution networks (MV and LV), similar to those that have traditionally existed in high-voltage (HV) networks.

Others:

The main activity carried out by Ormazabal will be the development of an integrated medium- and low-voltage energy measurement system for transformation and distribution centers, which will be deployed on the SMARTCITY demonstration platform in Malaga.
