Innovation projects

NEOSUB

This project, led by BOSLAN, includes the participation of ORMAZABAL along with leading companies such as ARTECHE, INGETEAM, GENERAL ELECTRIC, ZIV, IK INGENIERÍA and the ENERGÍA CLUSTER.

The project is framed within the “HAZITEK ESTRATÉGICO” program of the Basque Government and is being developed during the years 2018 and 2020.

Goals:

The overall objective of the NEOSUB project is to design and develop electrical substations using ecodesign criteria, which will provide operators, engineering firms and manufacturers of equipment for substations with competitive advantages in 2 key aspects:

  • In terms of costs, this is achieved through greater efficiency in the consumption of materials and energy, allowing for a reduction in the production and maintenance costs of the facilities.
  • In terms of sustainability, this involves minimizing the environmental impact of infrastructure throughout its lifespan, reducing emissions and/or discharges both during the equipment manufacturing phase and during installation, use and maintenance, and promoting the reuse and recycling of equipment and its component materials at the end of its life.

Project funded by:

NEOSUB is a project co-financed by the Basque Government and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020 (ERDF).
