ACAM - Magnetic Field Shielding

Prefabricados Uniblok leads the ACAM project, in collaboration with Ormazabal Corporate Technology and the Institute of Ceramics and Glass (CSIC).
The project is framed within the “INNPACTO 2010” program of the Ministry of Science and Innovation and is developed during the years 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Goals:

The main objective of the “Magnetic Field Shielding (ACAM)” project is to develop a shielded transformer substation against electromagnetic fields derived from industrial frequency currents (50 Hz) so that its external impact is minimal or zero.

To achieve this objective, the following partial objectives are proposed:

  • Obtaining paints/coatings with dispersion of submicron and nanometric particles with high magnetic permeability that shields the electromagnetic fields generated inside the transformation center.
  • Obtaining a finite element analysis methodology for the electromagnetic fields generated inside a transformer substation, including the presence of thin layers (paint/coating) that allows for the design of transformer substations with minimal or zero electromagnetic emissivity.

ACAM with file number PT-310000-2010-012 is a project co-financed by the “INNPACTO- 2010” program of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
