Sec2Grid - New smart electronic devices for a more secure electricity distribution network against cyberattacks

The Sec2Grid project is led by INGETEAM in collaboration with ORMAZABAL, ZIV, ARTECHE, ZIGOR, PwC, IBERDROLA, and BARBARA, and is part of the Basque Government’s “HAZITEK” program. It will run from 2022 to 2024.

The objective of the Sec2Grid project is to equip the entire value chain of the electricity sector with the capacity to respond in a coordinated and rapid manner to cybersecurity incidents that affect the Smart Grid.

Goals:

Ormazabal, together with its partners, aims to generate new knowledge that will enable innovation in disruptive technologies and solutions to address the cybersecurity challenges of the electricity sector, in the following areas:

  1. Advanced algorithms for self-assessment of cybersecurity status.
  2. Unified information model on cybersecurity threats.
  3. Unified information model for command and control of updates.
