Solution and challenge Ormazabal:

The challenge of The engineers of Romande Energies S.A have filed to reduce the population of Vouvry’s fossil fuel consumption and obtain the “City of Energy” label. To this end, the company expanded the facility and created a new pipeline with a length of 3,700 meters using a new layout. Thanks to the increased headroom made possible by the chosen layout, the plant’s production capacity has increased from 6.4 to 6.9 million kWh/year. Ormazabal modernized the main facility by replacing the AIS switchgear with GIS switchgear. The solution consists of 17 CPG.0 single-busbar cubicles that replace two groups of AIS-type cubicles connected by a medium-voltage cable. Ormazabal’s solution offers comprehensive insulation, reducing the need for facility maintenance and ensuring the safety of property and people.
