POWINMOD – Design and development of integrated power modules

Ormazabal is participating in the POWINMOD project, which is part of the Basque Government’s “ETORGAI 2016” program.

The project, led by FAGOR, is being developed during the years 2015 – 2017, and also involves the companies Ingeteam, JEMA and the RVCTI agents at the University of the Basque Country, Stirling Center, Ormazabal Corporate Technology.

Objectives:

The main objective of the project is to develop, design and manufacture innovative integrated power modules (IPM) as well as the development of their applications in the following fields:

• Automotive,
• Traction,
• Energy

Others:

Ormazabal’s objective within the project is the integration of the new integrated power modules (IPM) developed in energy applications. Specifically, Ormazabal will develop a container building and a protection relay for systems intended for the electrical supply of ships from port (OPS) Onshore Power Supply.
