SCBT – Development of a Smart CBT for low-voltage network management

The SCBT project is a project led by ORMAZABAL within the framework of the Basque Government’s “HAZITEK” program. It will be developed during the years 2019 -2021.

Objectives:

This project aims to define, design, develop and validate a complete solution for an intelligent low voltage switchboard (SCBT) that allows the total monitoring, control and protection of the increasingly demanding requirements of low voltage networks.

Others:

The project is organized into 3 large blocks:

  1. Design and development of a low voltage switchboard with fuse protection, sensorized for monitoring network parameters in quasi-real time such as V, I, P, Q, E. This is the basic low voltage switchboard, which constitutes the basis for the switchboards with the capacity to maneuver the low voltage network.
  2. Design and development of a low voltage switchboard with protection by means of a circuit breaker at each low-voltage line output.
  3. Design and development of a low-voltage panel with a load switch and fuses. This is a panel in which the maneuverability of the low-voltage network is provided by the switch on each low-voltage output line and protection against high faults is provided by the fuse. In the event of low-value faults, for example, single-phase faults, the switch would trip before the fuse detected the fault.

Project financed by:

SCBT is a project co-financed by the BASQUE GOVERNMENT and the EUROPEAN UNION through the European Regional Development Fund 2021-2027 (ERDF).
