SCBT - Development of a Smart CBT for the management of low voltage networks

The SCBT project is a project led by ORMAZABAL within the framework of the Basque Government’s “HAZITEK” program. It runs from 2019 to 2021.

Goals:

This project aims to define, design, develop and validate a complete solution for an intelligent low-voltage switchboard (SCBT) that allows for the total monitoring, control and protection of the increasingly demanding requirements of low-voltage networks.

Others:

The project is organized into 3 main blocks:

  1. Design and development of a low-voltage switchboard with fuse protection, equipped with sensors for near real-time monitoring of network parameters such as V, I, P, Q, E. This is the basic low-voltage switchboard, which forms the basis for switchboards with low-voltage network switching capabilities.
  2. Design and development of a low voltage panel with protection by means of an automatic switch at each low voltage line output.
  3. Design and development of a low-voltage switchboard with load break switches and fuses. This switchboard provides control of the low-voltage network via the load break switch on each low-voltage output line, while high-voltage fault protection is provided by the fuse. In the case of low-value faults, such as single-phase faults, the load break switch would trip before the fuse detects the fault.

Project funded by:

SCBT is a project co-financed by the Basque Government and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund 2021-2027 (ERDF).
