SecureGRID - New Cybersecurity and Data Analytics Technologies for Electrical Substations

Ormazabalparticipate in the projectSecureGRID, framed within the “HAZITEK 2016” program of the Basque Government.

The project, led by ZIV Grid Automation, is being developed during the years 2016-2018, and the companies Electrotécnica Arteche Smart Grid, General Electric Power Management, Ingeteam Power Technology, Integrated Technology Systems, the Energy Cluster and the agents of the RVCTI the TECNALIA Research & Innovation Foundation, ZIV I+D Smart Energy Networks, Arteche Technology Center, Egile Innovative Solutions, Ormazabal Corporate Technology and Ikergune also participate.

Goals:

The project focuses on the security of electrical substations in the high and medium voltage network and their electronic equipment, the Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs).

From a strategic point of view, the project aims to establish a center of excellence in this type of technology, positioning the Basque electrical equipment and cybersecurity industry as leaders in the deployment of cybersecurity in the Smart Grid.
