SecureGRID – New Cybersecurity and Data Analytics Technologies for Electrical Substations

Ormazabal is participating in the SecureGRID project, within the framework of the Basque Government’s “HAZITEK 2016” programme.

The project, led by ZIV Grid Automation, is being developed from 2016 to 2018, and also involves the companies Electrotécnica Arteche Smart Grid, General Electric Power Management, Ingeteam Power Technology, Integrated Technology Systems, the Energy Cluster and the agents of the RVCTI, the TECNALIA Research & Innovation, ZIV I+D Smart Energy Networks, Arteche Technology Center, Egile Innovative Solutions, Ormazabal Corporate Technology and Ikergune.

 

Objectives:

 

The project focuses on the security of electrical substations in the high and medium voltage grid and their electronic equipment, the Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs).

From a strategic point of view, the project seeks to establish a center of excellence in this type of technology that positions the Basque electrical equipment and cybersecurity industry as leaders in the deployment of cybersecurity in the Smart Grid.
