SIDICEM - Multifunction Cell Diagnostic System

OrmazabalHe leads the SIDICEM project within the framework of the MINECO’s “Collaboration Challenges” program.

The project is being carried out during the years 2016-2017 and CEIT-IK4, DIAEL and the Polytechnic University of Madrid are also participating.

Goals:

The project’s objective is to develop a medium-voltage switchgear for “smart” secondary electrical distribution networks that allows

  1. Maximize the availability of distribution networks by diagnosing both cable insulation problems and the vacuum level of vacuum switches
  2. to ensure the quality of the electricity supply by avoiding unscheduled interruptions due to equipment failure.

Others:

It will be necessary to develop an “intelligent” protection cell with multifunction bottles that integrate the diagnosis of the vacuum level of the bottles.

Project funded by:

Project co-financed by the program “Collaboration Challenges of the State Program for Research, Development and Innovation oriented to the challenges of society”, of the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, and by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union.
