STES – Smart Transformer EcoSubstation

The STES project is a project led by Ormazabal and is part of the Basque Government’s “ETORGAI 2014” program. The company ALFADECO Subconjuntos also participates. It will be developed during the years 2014-2016.

 

Objectives:

 

The objective of the project is to train participating companies to offer small and medium-sized electricity distribution companies a comprehensive offer for the design and operation of their electrical networks under a new concept of network operation that allows improving the quality of the electrical service using environmentally optimized equipment. This offer includes both medium voltage products for the distribution network and systems that allow:

  • Remote control of the distribution network.
  • Remote management of network consumption.
