We're advancing in the digitalization of the grid with the transforma.smart, our digital native transformer

The transforma.smart emerges as a fully connected transformer to ensure the integration of electric mobility charging infrastructure and distributed generation into the electrical grid

The evolution towards a fully digitalized and flexible distribution grid is now closer with our electrical transformation solution: the transforma.smart, our native digital transformer to provide intelligence to the low-voltage grid. This innovative technological solution incorporates an on-load tap changer (OLTC) combined with the “ekor.tsm” remote control unit to offer network operators the possibility to manage the tap changer manually or automatically, adjusting the low-voltage voltage to a set value as required.

Scalable functionality allows for transitioning from stand-alone solutions with local control to communicable solutions with remote control. Additionally, remote monitoring of transformer oil temperature, pressure levels, and filling is possible, enabling simpler maintenance and continuous data collection on its operation.

These technological developments ensure network operators can resolve potential stability issues in the low-voltage grid caused by load imbalances, seasonal loads, or long lines – increasingly common situations due to the integration of electric mobility and distributed generation into the grid. Thus, the transforma.smart becomes the best ally for ensuring the digitalization of the electrical grid and the subsequent decarbonization of the economy.

Let’s not forget that among the variety of transforma.smart configurations is the option for reduced carbon footprint, thanks to the implementation of different measures that reduce the product’s equivalent CO2 emissions.
