We installed our solutions at Mingyang Smart Energy's 300MW offshore wind project.

The project is located in the south sea of ​​Nanpeng Islands, Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, China, invested and constructed by CECEP Wind Power Corporation. The total planned installed capacity is 300 MW, with 55 MYSE5, 5MW wind turbines installed, and a 220kV offshore booster station and onshore centralized control center will be built.

The Nanpeng Island project is CECEP’s first offshore project, and also the company’s largest single wind project. The project’s grid-connected power generation has further improved the company’s construction capacity and operation and maintenance capability in the field of offshore wind energy.

Ormazabal Solution and Challenge:

Ormazabal specially customized two technological solutions for the clients; cgm.3 rbv, cgm.3 rblv, with a total of 55 sets of medium voltage combined switchgear, in accordance with the long offshore distance and complex natural conditions of the maritime area, contributing to the development of the renewable energy industry.

The project is located in a complex maritime area. Faced with difficulties such as natural environmental hazards, deep waters, complex geological conditions under the sea surface, and a short construction period, Ormazabal helps its clients take advantage of the construction window period and effectively deal with risks such as typhoons, thunderstorms, and waves, overcoming difficulties such as the complex underwater topography and geological conditions of the project area, the wide range of water depth variation, etc., helping the client install the first wind turbine in the South China Sea in winter, and completing the project construction with high standards, high quality, and high efficiency.
