Ormazabal connecting "Power to Green Hydrogen Mallorca"

Power to Green Hydrogen Mallorca is a pioneering project embedded within the green hydrogen generation projects promoted by the European Union through the NextGeneration funds.

The project consists of an electrolyser connected to two photovoltaic plants: Lloseta (8.5 MW) and Petra (5.85 MW). These plants will be responsible for supplying energy for the production of the green hydrogen. A production quantified at around 300 tonnes per year.

The hydrogen produced is destined, on the one hand, to be partly injected into the gas network and, on the other hand, to supply land mobility (bus fleets and car rentals) on the island of Mallorca.

From Ormazabal, and in collaboration with Acciona Energía, we have supplied the complete and integral solution for the grid connection of the plants, which allows from the remote management of the connections to the electricity grid, to their automation and digitalisation through protection and control relays.

Thanks to our clear commitment to technological innovation, at Ormazabal, we have been working for 55 years on the energy transition and participating in projects that help build a more sustainable and decarbonised world.
